    Hydrogen water

A moment to drink, rest and settle

After every massage, I offer a complimentary glass of hydrogen-enriched water. It makes room for a gentle finish: a drink of water, a little rest and time to notice how you feel before carrying on with your day.

    Ordinary water. An extra molecule.

    What is in the glass?

Hydrogen water is drinking water containing extra dissolved molecular hydrogen, H₂. The water itself is still H₂O. The difference is a small amount of hydrogen gas dissolved in it. The name describes its contents, rather than a promised health result.

A hydrogen bottle or pitcher uses electricity to generate hydrogen and dissolve it in water. A bottle is a portable option; a pitcher suits preparing several glasses. In the studio, I use a pitcher from Si Longevity.

    Why water after treatment?

Getting enough fluid is part of everyday wellbeing. Water helps replace fluid you lose and prevent dehydration. Your needs vary, for example with heat and physical activity. Ordinary drinking water works well for this.

For me, a glass of water belongs to the care around a treatment. You do not need to rush straight out. Take a moment, drink comfortably and tell me how the session felt. Then continue your usual hydration habits throughout the day.

What do we know about the benefits?

Molecular hydrogen is being studied in areas including oxidative stress. A small controlled study in healthy adults found changes in some biological markers, while several other measures did not differ from plain water. These findings are interesting, but do not establish a noticeable health benefit from one glass after massage.

I offer it as part of the experience and explain the evidence openly. Hydrogen water does not replace food, sleep, movement or medical care. You do not need a special type of water to look after your hydration.

    The equipment in the studio

A simple studio routine: drinking water is prepared in the pitcher and served in a glass. This is the equipment's role.

    01 · Hydrogen-water pitcher

    Si Longevity Si-Home

Our white Si-Home pitcher holds two litres. Two electrolysis chambers and an SPE/PEM membrane prepare hydrogen-enriched water.

The pitcher does not filter water: we use drinking water. Dissolved hydrogen can escape over time, so it is served after preparation.
